Jay Travels

You can find us over on Relief Road, tucked into the lane right by Chetna Hotel. If you know this part of town, you know it is always busy with people and traffic. We have been operating Jay Travels from here for some time now. It is a small office, mostly filled with maps, some old chairs, and a phone that does not seem to stop ringing some days. We spend a lot of time talking to people about where they need to go, whether it is just a short trip or something longer across the state. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who know the routes and the bus timings. The lane can be a bit crowded with parked scooters, so you have to watch your step when you come in. We do not have any flashy signs or anything like that. It is just a place to get your tickets and figure out your travel plans. Sometimes things get delayed or the weather messes up the schedules, and we have to spend the whole afternoon sorting things out on the phone. It is not a glamorous job, but people need to get from one place to another. We try to keep track of all the different buses and cars we have going out. It is mostly about making sure people have a seat and know where to catch their ride. Relief Road is loud, but it is where all the action is for travel stuff. (257 words)
