Our place is located in Sector 4 of Ahmedabad, specifically at Block 256 and 257. We work on agricultural technology, which mostly means we spend a lot of time thinking about water and how to help things grow better in this specific climate. It’s not always high-tech stuff with sensors and screens; a lot of it is just figuring out better ways to set up the pipes or manage the soil moisture. We spend a good amount of time out in the actual fields talking to people who do the farming. They usually have the best ideas because they see the problems every day. Back at our office, we look over the designs and try to see what actually works and what is just a waste of time. It’s a mix of basic engineering and just plain common sense. We’ve been at this for a while here in Gujarat. The weather can be really tough on the equipment we install, so we have to make sure everything is built to last through the heat. We aren't trying to change the whole world. We just want to help the local folks get a bit more out of their land each season. It’s a lot of trial and error. Sometimes a new idea works great and sometimes we have to start all over again. We keep at it because it's important work for this area. It takes a lot of patience to see results.
