You can find J Patel & Co over at 52 Balaji Estate. We’re right opposite the Avtar Hotel on the Narol Isnapur Highway. It’s a very busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the trucks going towards Isanpur. Our estate has several units, and we’ve been in number 52 for quite a while now. We mostly handle general engineering work and whatever else needs doing for the local businesses around here. The shop floor is usually a bit of a jumble with parts and materials waiting to be used. We don't spend much time cleaning up for show; we just try to keep things functional. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't really need to say much to get things moving. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the highway traffic gets really bad. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait around or find something else to do until it comes back on. It’s just part of life in this area. We don’t have a big marketing department or any of that. If someone needs something made or fixed, they just walk in and talk to us directly. It’s a simple way of doing business, and it works for us. We just try to make sure that the items we produce are solid and do what they are supposed to.
