J. P. Vohra Industries

You’ll find us in the Patther Market area, right on the road leading to the Golden Temple. It’s a very famous part of Amritsar, so there are always pilgrims and tourists walking by our door. J. P. Vohra Industries has been part of this landscape for a good while. Being in the stone market means it’s often a bit dusty and loud outside. We have our machines running most of the day, and the sound just blends in with the noise of the street. It’s a practical environment. We don't have any fancy decor or air-conditioned showrooms. We just have our workspace and the tools we need. Working so close to the temple is interesting because you see all sorts of people every day. Our team is just a few local guys who know their way around the industry. We don't talk much about our vision or anything like that. We just focus on the job at hand and make sure the customers are happy with what they get. Some days are long, especially in the winter when it gets really cold in the mornings. We drink a lot of tea to stay warm and keep the work moving. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of business. We aren't looking to be famous, just to keep the machines running and the orders going out the door.
