Desai Tour Travel

Desai Tour Travel is based at No. 31 in the Nandi Shopping Center. We are on India Colony Road, right in the Bapunager area. It’s a busy part of town. The shopping center has lots of different stores. Our spot, number 31, is tucked away a bit. We’ve been here in Bapunager for a long time. We handle travel stuff, mostly booking trips and figuring out routes. It gets busy during the holiday seasons. The office has a lot of maps on the walls. Some of them are pretty old and the edges are curling. We use computers now, obviously, but the maps stay up because we like them. India Colony Road is always full of cars and people. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking near Nandi Shopping Center. We usually just walk from the bus stop. We aren't a huge travel agency with branches everywhere. It’s just this one office. We know the regular customers by name. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking prices. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need a ticket. It’s just how things go. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when we get hungry. Working at Desai Tour Travel is mostly about logistics and timing. We have a calendar from three years ago still hanging up because we liked the pictures of the mountains on it. Bapunager is a busy place to work. There’s always someone honking or a bike zooming past. We’ve grown to like the noise.
