The highway is always packed with cars and buses. Being in Tower-C on the fourth floor gives us a bit of a view, though it’s mostly just other buildings and the road. The office is a standard layout. We have our desks pushed together and wires running along the floor for the internet and power. It’s nothing like those sleek offices you see on TV, but it works for us. We spend most of our hours here clicking away at keyboards. The air conditioning is a lifesaver in the summer months because Ahmedabad gets incredibly hot. Sometimes we go downstairs to the small stalls near the building for snacks or a quick break. Makaraba has changed a lot lately with so many new buildings coming up. It feels like everyone is moving this way. Our zip code is 380051. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls or anything like that. Just some calendars and maybe a few old boxes in the corner that we haven’t moved yet. It’s a real office where real work happens. We just show up, do what needs doing, and deal with the traffic on the way back home. It is a long commute but we get used to it.
