I am the partner and incharge of the CA firm Joshi Mevada & Co. here in New Wadaj. You can find our office at G-18 in Kalptaru Flats. We are right across the street from R.H. Patel College, so there is always a lot of activity in the area with students and local traffic. Running a firm in Ahmedabad means you are always busy, especially when the tax deadlines start approaching. Our office isn't anything fancy; it’s just a ground-floor space where we keep all our records and computers. We spend a lot of time helping people sort out their taxes and making sure their business books are actually accurate. It can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but it is what we do. I’ve been in charge here for a while, and I like the fact that we are a local business. We don't have a big corporate structure or a bunch of managers. It's just us and our clients. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up an audit, but that is just how the job goes. We don't use any slick marketing talk or try to sound like we are something we are not. We are just accountants who know the local laws and try to help our neighbors stay organized. It’s a quiet, steady life in G-18, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
