Living and working in Ahmedabad means you get used to the noise and the dust. My place is at 4/8 Gurjar Flats. It’s a typical residential building where several of us have set up small operations. It’s not a glass-and-steel office building, just a regular flat where we’ve rearranged the furniture to make room for computers and files. The address says 380013, which is a busy part of Gujarat. I’ve lived here for a long time, so the local tea stall guy knows exactly how I like my morning cup. The office itself is a bit cramped. We’ve got books on the shelves that nobody has touched in years and a printer that jams if you put more than ten pages in at once. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have any formal meetings with slides or anything like that. We just sit around the table and talk about what needs to be finished by the end of the day. Sometimes my neighbors come by to borrow something, or we end up chatting in the hallway for twenty minutes. It’s a community vibe. The work gets done, even if it’s not in a fancy environment. We prefer this because it’s comfortable and we don't have to pretend to be something we aren't. It’s just Hardik Shah’s place, doing what we do every day without any extra drama or polish, just keeping things moving in our own little corner.
