Gulabray & Sons

Gulabray & Sons is based out of Tirupati Complex, specifically at number 341. We are right in the middle of Chokhabazr in Kalupur, which is a very old and crowded part of Ahmedabad. Being near Kalupur Gate means there is never a quiet moment. We’ve been in this office for a long time, and the walls show it with all the old calendars and notes pinned up. It’s a family business, so you’ll usually find one of us sitting at the front desk dealing with whatever problem came up that morning. The complex itself is always buzzing with people running around. We deal with various goods and the inventory changes depending on what’s available in the market. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we end up carrying stuff up the stairs, which is quite a workout. Our office is a bit cramped with all the ledgers and samples lying around, but we know where everything is. We don’t really do fancy meetings or anything like that. Usually, a deal happens over a glass of tea while sitting on the old wooden chairs. It is just a practical way to run a business in a place where everyone knows everyone else. The heat in Ahmedabad can be tough in the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with the daily tasks of buying and selling. We just keep our heads down and do our work.
