The Gujarat University Convention and Exhibition Centre sits right on Drive In Road in the Memnagar area of Ahmedabad. We are right near Helmet Circle, which is one of the busiest junctions in this part of the city. This is a massive space, and it takes a lot of effort to keep it running smoothly. We have exhibitions and events happening here almost every other week. When there’s a big show on, the whole place is buzzing with people, and the parking lot gets completely full. On the days when there are no events, it’s strangely quiet, and we spend our time checking the halls and making sure the lighting and AC are working properly. It’s a functional building designed to hold a lot of people at once. We’ve seen everything from book fairs to trade shows here. The traffic around Memnagar can be quite a challenge during the peak hours, especially with the metro work and the general city rush. We have a small office on-site where we handle the bookings and paperwork. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t really do much in the way of fancy talk; we just focus on the logistics of the space. It’s a big job to manage such a large property, and our staff is usually busy walking from one end of the hall to the other.
