Gujarat Fabricators

Over at Plot: 177/178 in Phase-Ii of the Gidc Estate in Vatva, you’ll find Gujarat Fabricators. It’s an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and the sound of machines coming from every direction. Our spot is a large open space where we do all the cutting and welding. It’s not the kind of place you’d go to for a quiet chat. There’s usually someone grinding down a seam or moving steel beams with the hoist. We keep the big doors open to let the air circulate because the heat from the welding torches can get pretty intense during the day. The floor is concrete and scarred from years of heavy metal being dragged across it. We have a small office area tucked into one corner where we keep the blueprints and coffee, but most of the action happens on the main floor. The guys wear their heavy boots and masks, and it’s a lot of hard work. We handle various metal projects, mostly just making things out of steel according to what people need. Vatva is a gritty place to work, but it suits what we do. We don't worry about the dust or the noise much. We just focus on getting the welds clean and making sure the pieces fit together like they should before they get loaded onto a truck. It’s a basic operation but it’s been running this way for a long time. We mostly just keep to our plot.
