The railway crossing is also a major landmark nearby. If the gates are closed for a train, you might be sitting there for a few minutes watching the traffic pile up. It is a typical industrial and commercial patch of Ahmedabad. Our space in Mahalaxmi Estate is pretty basic. We don't have fancy decorations or big glass windows. It is just a place where we do our art work and keep things moving. The sound of the trains passing by is something we have gotten used to over the years. Some days are busier than others, and Gota is growing so fast that there is always construction noise somewhere nearby. We just focus on what is in front of us. Most of our neighbors are also small businesses or warehouses, like the marble place. It is a practical area, not really a place for sightseeing. We like it because it is functional. People who need to find us usually call when they get to the railway crossing. We have been here for a bit and seen how the estate has filled up with different shops. It is just our little corner where we stay busy with our projects. No big fuss about it, just getting the work done every day.
