Gokul Eye Hospital

We are located inside the Sarap Building, which is right across the street from Navjivan Press. It’s a well-known area here in Ahmedabad. The railway line is very close by, and Gujarat Vidhyapith is also just a short walk away. You can actually hear the trains passing by sometimes when the clinic gets quiet in the afternoon. We’ve been here for a long time focusing on helping people with their eyes. People usually come in because they can't see the morning newspaper clearly anymore or they have some kind of redness or irritation. We have the basic machines needed to check your vision and see what's wrong. It’s a very straightforward setup. We don't have marble floors or big golden signs out front. The building itself is one of the older ones in the area, but it’s sturdy and most people know exactly where it is. I spend my days looking at eyes and writing out prescriptions. My assistant handles the glasses and the different frames we have. We keep a small selection of frames that are sturdy and good for everyday use. We don't really carry the high-end designer brands because our patients just want something that works and lasts. Sometimes the waiting area gets full of older folks sitting around and chatting. I like that kind of atmosphere. It’s not a cold place, it feels like part of the city.
