Go Mangoes

Go Mangoes is based out of a bungalow in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad. Specifically, we are at 18 Nest Bunglows near the Ramdevnagar Cross Road. It’s a quiet spot compared to the main roads, which helps when we are sorting through crates. Dealing with fruit like mangoes is a messy, seasonal business. You have to watch the weather and the ripening times very carefully. Our days are spent talking to suppliers and checking the quality of what comes in. The smell of fruit is everywhere during the peak months. We aren't a big factory or anything like that; it’s more of a small operation run by a few of us who really know our produce. We spend a lot of time on the phone or moving boxes around the driveway. People from around Ahmedabad often stop by or call us to see what's fresh. Sometimes the deliveries are late, or the crates get banged up during transport, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s a practical job that keeps us on our feet. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy office. We just sit at the desk, keep the records straight, and make sure the mangoes get where they need to go before they get too soft. It's a lot of work during the summer heat, but we enjoy the rhythm of the season. We just take things one crate at a time and hope the harvest is good.
