Global Merchants

Global Merchants is tucked away in Veena Smruti, over at 13-A, Kalabaug Soc. in the Jawahar Chawk area of Maninagar. It’s a residential-style building, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite a while, and the neighbors all know us by now. The stairs are a little narrow, and you have to watch your step when you’re carrying boxes up to the office. Maninagar is always bustling, especially around the chawk, so there’s never a quiet moment during the day. We spend most of our time on the phone or working through stacks of invoices. The rooms are filled with samples and various goods we trade, and things can get a bit cluttered when a new shipment arrives. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been together for years. Usually, there’s a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep things lively. We aren't big on fancy furniture or modern decor; we just use what we have and focus on the trading. If you come by, you’ll probably see us sorting through papers or talking to some delivery person at the entrance. It’s a very local feel here, and we like it that way because it keeps us connected to the community around Kalabaug Society. Every day brings something different, and we just handle it as it comes.
