Our place isn’t anything fancy. It’s just a ground-floor spot where we keep the netting and the rolls of material. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t found the time for that yet. We spend most of the day measuring out nets and talking to folks who come in from the surrounding areas. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking on the street because it gets so crowded. We have to help them navigate the turn into the society. The office inside has a few desks and a lot of samples hanging up so people can see how the mesh feels. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so the fan is always running. We like being near the temple; it makes the neighborhood feel more alive. We just get on with things here. No one wears a suit. We wear clothes we don't mind getting a bit dusty. It’s a practical business, and we treat it that way every single day. We’re usually here until late evening finishing up orders. It is a lot of work.
