Etc Creatives

We’re over at Etc Creatives in Asopalav Society, which is near Mahalakshami Society in the Vatva area of Ahmedabad. Being on this side of town means things are a bit more laid back than the city center. We handle creative projects, which basically means we spend our time designing things or figuring out how to make an idea look good on paper or screen. It’s a lot of back and forth, trying to understand what someone wants when they aren’t even sure themselves. Our office is a bit cluttered with sketches and samples of different materials. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy board room; if you come by, you’ll probably see us hunched over our screens or arguing about a color choice. It’s just how we work. Sometimes we hit a wall and have to go for a walk around the neighborhood to clear our heads. The heat in Ahmedabad can be brutal, so the AC is usually struggling to keep up. We just take things one project at a time. It’s not about being the biggest agency; it’s about doing stuff that doesn't look like everyone else’s. We’ve had some long nights here, especially when a print job is due the next morning. It’s just a small group of us trying to make a living doing what we’re good at. We don't use big words to describe our work, we just show you the drafts and go from there until it's finally finished.
