We’ve been running this DJ thing for a while now from our spot at Sahjanand Complex. It’s not a fancy office, just a place where we keep the speakers, mixers, and all the wires that seem to get tangled no matter how careful I am. We are right behind Bhagwati Chamber on C G Road, so it's usually pretty busy outside. I started doing this because I just liked playing music for my friends, and then people started asking me to play at their weddings or birthdays in Ahmedabad. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, to be honest. Carrying big subwoofers up three flights of stairs isn't fun, but seeing everyone dance makes it okay. We don't have a big team or a corporate setup. It’s mostly just me and a couple of guys who help with the loading. We don’t use any of those big marketing words. We just show up on time, set the gear up, and play what the crowd wants. Sometimes the power goes out or a cable fails, and we have to scramble to fix it, but that's just how it goes. Being at Swastik Cross Road is convenient for people to drop by. We’re usually here in the afternoons testing out new tracks or cleaning the equipment. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and the music is always playing. We don't promise anything crazy, just that we'll be there and the sound will be loud enough.
