Dj Remo

I’m Remo and I’ve been running this DJ setup out of Maninagar East for quite a while now. We are right over at Alankar Complex, which is pretty close to the Maninagar Crossing. If you know the area, it's usually busy around here. I started out just playing music for friends and then it kind of turned into a real thing. It’s not a huge fancy office or anything, just a spot where we keep the speakers and lights. Sometimes the cables get tangled and it’s a bit of a mess, but we get the job done. Being near the crossing means there is always noise outside, but we add our own noise too. We do a lot of local weddings and birthday parties around Ahmedabad. People usually find us by word of mouth. I don’t really bother with big ads. It’s mostly just me and a couple of guys helping move the heavy gear. We try to keep things simple. If someone wants music, they come up to the second floor of the complex and we talk. It’s a lot of work carrying those big boxes up and down, but it’s what we do. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but Alankar Complex is still there. We’ve been through a lot of speakers and laptops since we started. It's just a regular local business trying to keep people dancing. We aren't trying to be the biggest in the city, just good for the people nearby.
