Dhirajlal Shah & Co. is located over in Naranpura. We are in B-6 of the Rajeshwar Flats, right on Mirambica Road. It is a pretty easy place to find if you are familiar with this side of Ahmedabad. We have been working as chartered accountants here for a long time. Our daily routine is mostly about dealing with the tax department and keeping our clients' records straight. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is necessary. The office isn't very large, but it serves its purpose. We spend a lot of time on our computers and on the phone. Sometimes the traffic on Mirambica Road gets loud, but we are used to it by now. We see a lot of the same faces every year when tax season rolls around. It’s nice to have those long-term relationships with people from the neighborhood. We don’t use any fancy software that promises the world; we just use what works and make sure the numbers are correct. Sometimes we stay late when there are deadlines, especially near the end of the financial year. That is when the tea consumption in the office really goes up. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in the city. We just want to do a decent job for the people who trust us with their accounts. It’s a straightforward business, and we like it that way.
