Dhaval Thakkar

If you know the Gurukul area in Ahmedabad, you know how busy it gets. That’s where I’ve set up shop. It’s not some big building with a sign out front. It’s just Dhaval Thakkar, working out of a space here. Ahmedabad has a certain way of doing things, and I try to stick to that. It’s about working hard and not making a big fuss about it. The street outside is always full of people and scooters. Sometimes the smell of street food drifts in, which makes it hard to stay focused on the work. I’ve lived in this city for a long time, so setting this up here felt natural. It’s a simple operation. I don't have a receptionist or a bunch of staff running around. It’s mostly just me handling the phone and the paperwork. There are days when everything goes wrong and the heat is unbearable, but you just drink some water and keep going. My workspace is pretty basic. Just a table, a chair, and my computer. I don’t see the point in spending money on fancy furniture when the work is what matters. People in the neighborhood know me, and I like that local feeling. It’s not about being the biggest business in Gujarat. It’s just about doing what I do every day and making a living. It’s honest work and it keeps me busy from morning until late at night.
