Our office and shop are situated in Dhanlaxmi Market which is near the Nehru Nagar cross road on Satellite Road. This is a very active part of the city and there is never a dull moment when you are working here. We have a lot of frames and lenses stored in our drawers and on the display shelves. The space is not very big so we have to use every inch of the walls to keep our stock organized. We have been in the optics business for a long time and we have seen all the different trends come and go. Being near the Nehru Nagar cross road means we get a lot of people stopping by while they are out doing their other errands. We do not have any polished sales pitches or corporate slogans. We just show people the glasses we have and help them find a pair that fits their face comfortably. The work involves a lot of precision especially when we are fitting the lenses into the frames. Sometimes we have a lot of orders to finish by the end of the day so we stay a bit late. The staff here is like a small family and we all look out for each other. We take our lunch breaks together when the shop is not too busy. It is a practical business and we enjoy being in the middle of such a lively market on Satellite Road. We just keep our heads down and do our work every day.
