Shilpa Traders

We are located at No. 3 at the corner of Motti Pole in Dariapur. If you know the Kadianaka area, you know how crowded the streets can get around Jordan Road. It’s an old part of the city, and our shop has been here for quite a long time. We do trading, which basically means we have a lot of different stock coming in and out every day. It’s a small place, so we have to be very organized with how we stack the boxes, or you can’t even walk inside. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that keep the air moving a bit. Most of our customers are locals who have been buying from us for years. We aren't looking to become some massive chain. We just like running our shop and talking to the people who stop by. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes, and we have to go out and help them navigate. It can be a bit of a headache, but that’s just life in this neighborhood. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just use our paper ledgers and keep track of everything by hand mostly. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it has worked for us so far. We just open up in the morning and see what the day brings and try to keep everyone happy with what we've got in stock.
