Computer Point

Our place, Computer Point, is at 11 Bhanuchandra Society, which is right across from the Swaminarayan Temple on the 132 Feet Ring Road. We are near the Jivrajpark cross roads, so it’s a fairly easy spot to find if you are in the Jivraj Park area. The shop is on the ground floor, and we often have the door open to let some air in, though that means we get some of the Ring Road dust too. It is a local kind of business. We know the families living in the society and the people who visit the temple. A lot of our work involves fixing home computers that kids use for school or helping someone get their old desktop to run a bit faster. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the glass. Inside, there are shelves of old software discs and boxes of power supplies. It’s a bit cramped because we hate throwing away parts that might be useful later. Sometimes we spend hours on a single machine just trying to figure out a weird software bug. We don't have a corporate office or a boss in another city. It is just a few of us who like computers and live nearby. We keep the hours regular and try to be there when someone’s PC decides to quit working right before a deadline. It's just simple, daily work.
