Alex Computer

Our shop, Alex Computer, is tucked into the corner at No. 5/60 in Netajinagar. It is not a very big space, so it often feels a bit cramped with all the towers and monitors stacked up. Meghaninagar is a busy place and there is always something going on outside the window. Inside, it is usually quiet except for the sound of cooling fans and the occasional clicking of a keyboard. We spend most of our hours looking at motherboards and trying to figure out why a machine won't boot up. There are cables everywhere, tangled behind the desks and hanging from the shelves. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is kept. Most people who come in are our neighbors from Netajinagar. They bring in laptops that have stopped working or want us to put together a basic desktop for their kids. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It is just us sitting here with our screwdrivers and thermal paste. Sometimes we run out of space for all the parts, so we have to clear things out and put them in boxes. It’s a simple life. We drink a lot of coffee while waiting for software to install or files to copy over. If you walk past 5/60, you will probably see us hunched over a desk with a magnifying glass. We just try to get the computers back to their owners as fast as the work allows.
