Chetan Agarbatti Works

Our workshop, Chetan Agarbatti Works, is located in Bapunagar on L.B. Shastri Road. We are right near the Gayatri Mandir, which makes it easy for people to find us. If you walk near our building, you can usually smell the incense long before you see the sign. We have been making agarbatti here for a very long time. It is a family-run sort of vibe, even if we have some staff now. The rooms are filled with bamboo sticks and different powders and oils. It is a dusty business, but the smell is nice. We spend our days mixing batches and making sure the sticks are dried properly. If it rains, it is a bit of a problem for the drying process, so we are always watching the sky. We don’t have a big corporate office. We just have our workrooms and a small space to keep the books. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello. We aren’t trying to be some massive brand. We just want to make sticks that people like to use in their homes or at the temple. It is simple work, but it takes a lot of patience to get the scents right. We use our hands a lot. Sometimes we sit on the floor to get things done. It is just how we have always done it at Chetan Agarbatti. We are just people making something small and traditional for the community.
