Ak Design

Our office for Ak Design is located at number 46 in the Suyog Complex. It’s right on New C G Road in Chandkheda, an area that’s grown a lot recently. Our workspace is pretty basic, just a room filled with computers and a lot of sketches and files lying around. It’s a bit cluttered, but we manage to find what we need eventually. Usually, you’ll find one of us clicking away at a screen while someone else talks on the phone. The hallway lighting in the complex is a bit dim, but we’ve got enough lamps in here to see what we are doing. Chandkheda traffic is getting worse, so the morning commute is a bit of a struggle these days. We spend most of our time just sitting and working on whatever designs are on the schedule. Sometimes we hit a wall and just stare out the window for a minute. There’s a tea stall around the corner where we take our breaks when the screen time gets to be too much. The office has a very lived-in feel, with water bottles and notes everywhere. We aren't trying to change the world; we just make what people ask us to make. It’s a steady routine of drawing and revising. The air conditioner has a bit of a rattle, but we’ve stopped noticing it. It’s just our small spot in a large building, and it works for us. We try to keep the coffee pot full because we definitely need it.
