Our office is right across from Goyal Tower. It is a nice residential neighborhood that has a few offices tucked away here and there. We have been in this spot for several years and it feels like home to us. The office is on the second floor and it is quite modest. We have our workstations lined up and a small area for files. There is no big reception area or a lobby with fancy chairs. When you walk in, you see us working. We usually take turns making tea or someone goes out to the nearby shops to grab snacks for the group. The elevator in the building is a bit temperamental, so we often just use the stairs for the two floors. It is a very grounded environment. Most of us have lived in Ahmedabad for a long time and we like being in this part of town. We do not have long meetings or big corporate structures. If something needs to be said, we just say it. It is a practical place where we put in our hours and then head home to our families. We are just a group of people doing our jobs in a quiet corner of Ambawadi.
