Our office is on the fifth floor of the 3rd Eye Vision building, which is right opposite Shivalik Plaza in the Panjarapole area. Being on IIM Road means there is always a lot of energy and people moving around outside, especially with the college students nearby. At Aus Orient Siftware Solutions, we have a decent view from the 508 unit on the 5th floor, which is nice when you need to look away from the computer for a minute. The office is pretty much what you would expect for a tech place—lots of monitors, tangled cables under the desks, and the hum of the air conditioner trying to keep up with the Ahmedabad heat. We spend our days working through various software tasks and trying to make things work the way they should. It isn't always easy, and there is a lot of trial and error involved in what we do. We usually have lunch together in the small pantry area or head out to one of the many food stalls around Panjarapole if we want something different. The atmosphere is fairly informal; we just talk to each other across the room instead of sending official memos. We’ve been in this building for some time now, and we know the other people on our floor quite well. It’s a busy, functional space where we focus on our projects and try to keep things moving forward without any unnecessary drama or corporate polish.
