Our firm, Atul Dalal & Co., sits at number 41 in Saritkunj Society. It’s near the Bahai Centre in Shahpur, which is a fairly well-known part of Ahmedabad. We have been working out of this location for quite some time now. The building is older, but it serves us well for what we do. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a modern lobby or high-tech gadgets. It’s just a place where we sit down and look at numbers all day. Chartered accounting can be a bit dry, but we find it interesting enough. The office is usually filled with the sound of calculators and pens scratching on paper. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We have coffee together in the afternoons and talk about the news or the weather in Ahmedabad. It is a very normal environment. Clients come in, sit in the guest chairs, and we go over their files. There is no mystery to it. We keep things simple and honest. Sometimes the traffic in Shahpur makes us a few minutes late, but we always catch up. It is a solid, local business. We like being in Saritkunj Society because it feels like we are part of the city’s history. It’s a humble setup, but it gets the job done for the people who rely on us. We've been here long enough that the walls feel familiar.
