Ashwinperkar

This place is on Kankaria Road in Ahmedabad. We are located in a chawl right behind the Parsi Agiyari. It is near the Ved Mandir, which is a big landmark for anyone living in this part of town. Ashwinperkar started this up in house number 566/6. It’s an old-school area. You can hear the sounds of the street and the temple nearby all day long. The office itself is quite simple. We don't have a lot of extra space but we make it work. It feels very much like a part of the neighborhood. The walls are thick and it stays relatively cool even when the Ahmedabad heat gets intense in the summer. We spend our time managing the day-to-day tasks that come our way. People in the chawl know us and we know them. It's a very community-oriented spot. You won't find any shiny glass walls here. It’s more about the practical side of things. We have been here for a good while and the routine hasn't changed much. We show up, do the work, and talk to the neighbors. It’s a modest setup but it’s ours. The walk from the main road isn't far but it's always busy with people going to the Agiyari or the temple. It keeps things interesting. There is a lot of history in this part of Ahmedabad and we are just a small part of it now. We like the local rhythm.
