You can find Ashish Handicrafts inside the Iscon Mega Mall, specifically at Shop No. 118. We are located right below the food court in Atrium 2. It’s a very different vibe from a street shop because of all the noise and people coming for lunch or dinner. The SG Highway is always busy, so there’s a lot of energy around the mall. Even though we are in a big modern building, we try to keep our shop feeling a bit more personal. It’s a small space compared to the big clothing stores, but we like it that way. Being near the food court means we get a lot of people wandering in after they eat. Sometimes they’re just looking to kill time, and other times they’re looking for something specific. We spend a lot of time adjusting the lights to make sure the handicrafts look right under the mall’s ceiling. It can get a bit cold with the central air conditioning, so we usually have a sweater handy. The mall has its own rhythm, with the crowds picking up on the weekends and being a bit thinner on Monday mornings. We don’t have any big slogans or anything. We’re just here in Atrium 2, doing our job and talking to whoever stops by. It’s a good spot to be, right in the middle of the action on SG Highway.
