This part of Ahmedabad is pretty industrious and there is always a lot of movement on the road outside. We have a basic shopfront that looks out onto the main street. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning in every single corner, but it’s ours and it serves its purpose perfectly well. We spend a lot of time dealing with the inventory and the various things that come in and out of the door. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but we’re usually too busy with customers to get around to it. We have a small staff and we all know each other’s families and personal stories. It’s that kind of place where everyone is friends. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to tell us how to talk to people. We just talk to them like regular humans who have things to do. If someone comes in with a question about what we have, we answer it the best we can. Sometimes we sit outside on a small bench when the weather is decent. The traffic noise can be a lot sometimes, especially with the heavy trucks going to the chambers across the way, but you get used to it. We just focus on the daily grind.
