We work out of the Moonlight Complex, which is right across from Gurukul Road. Our office is F-4 on the upper floor. It’s a busy area near the Drive In cinema. Most of us here are focused on coding and software stuff. It’s a quiet office compared to the shops downstairs. We have rows of desks with multiple monitors on each one. There is always a pot of coffee going in the corner because the hours can get long when we are trying to fix a bug. We’ve been in this building for a few years now. The view from the window is just the main road and the traffic moving towards the mall. We don’t really have a receptionist; usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to see who it is. We spend most of our time in front of screens, but we do take breaks to walk around the complex. The walls are a bit plain, maybe a few notes pinned up here and there. It’s a workspace for people who actually do the building of software. We aren’t big on meetings; we prefer to just get on with the task at hand and meet our deadlines. It’s a small group of us, and we’ve worked together for a long time now. People come to us when they need something built for their business. It’s straightforward work and it keeps the lights on. We usually finish the day by checking the server one last time before we lock up the office and head home.
