Jekon Valves And Controls is located at A-12 in the Kamla Apartments. It’s part of the Patel Bag Co-Operative Housing Society, right near the Shreyas Crossing Road in Ambawadi. It’s a bit of an interesting spot because it’s a residential society, so it feels more like a home than a stiff office building. You have people living their lives all around us while we handle the valve and control work. The stairs up to the apartment are a bit narrow, and you can often smell what the neighbors are cooking for lunch. Inside A-12, we’ve converted the rooms into workspaces. There are desks where the dining table probably used to be. We have boxes of components sitting in the corners because we don’t have a massive warehouse attached. It's practical. When you look out the window, you see the trees from the society garden and the gate where the security guard sits. The Shreyas Crossing is always buzzing with scooters and cars, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background. We don’t have any big signs out front, just the nameplate by the door. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking inventory lists. It’s a small team, so everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We have a small kettle for tea and usually take a break when the mail comes. It’s just a regular place where we put in our hours and try to stay organized among all the papers and parts we have to track.
