Ajit A Wadhawan & Co

You can find us on the seventh floor of the Sarap building. We are right on Ashram Road, which is pretty much the main artery of Ahmedabad. Being opposite the Navjivan Press makes it easy to give people directions when they are coming to see us for the first time. Ajit A Wadhawan & Co is a small setup. We have a few rooms filled with desks and those big metal cupboards where we store all the client folders. The view from the 703 office is okay, but we are usually too busy looking at ledger books to notice. Ashram Road always has something going on, so it is never quiet. We deal with audits, bookkeeping, and all the usual stuff that comes with being a CA firm. It is a lot of sitting and checking figures twice. We are not trying to be some big corporate firm with a lobby. It is more about just sitting down and getting the paperwork finished. Sometimes we stay late when the deadlines are close, ordering snacks from the stalls nearby. The building itself is quite well known in the Navjivan area. Most of us have been working here long enough that the commute feels like second nature. It is a basic, functional space. We do not use much technology beyond what is necessary for the tax portals. It is a very human-scale operation, just people working with numbers every day.
