Adarsh Restaurant

We are out in Odhav, right at Shop 6 on the N H No 8. It’s a busy stretch of road, especially being right opposite Gauri Theatre. If you know the Soni Ni Chawl Cross Roads, then you know exactly where we are. Adarsh Restaurant isn't a huge place, but it stays busy because of all the people traveling along the highway. You get a lot of truck drivers, families going to the movies, and workers from the nearby industrial areas. The noise from the highway is pretty much constant. You get used to the sound of horns and heavy engines after a while. Our shop is just one in a row, but we try to keep it tidy. Inside, it’s just tables and chairs and the smell of whatever is cooking in the kitchen. We don't have any air conditioning that works all that well, but the ceiling fans keep the air moving. It’s a practical setup for people who just want to sit down for a bit and eat something before they get back on the road. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the lunch rush and getting ready for the evening crowd that comes out when the movie ends across the street. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and we know most of the regulars who pass through these cross roads. It is a bit dusty sometimes but it is home.
