We are located in Paldi, at 4 Mrunal Apartments. It’s right near Shardamandir, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. Being in an apartment building means the office feels very local and grounded. It’s not a cold, glass box. We have a few rooms filled with computers and whiteboards that are usually covered in scribbles. Working in Ahmedabad, you get used to the pace of life here. At Active Media, we just focus on the media projects we have on our plates. There’s no big hierarchy; we all just pitch in. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s relatively calm, though the traffic near the temple can get a bit loud during festival times. We have been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us. We don’t have a flashy sign outside. We prefer to just keep our heads down and do the work. The kitchen area is where most of the important conversations happen over coffee or snacks. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. We like the simplicity of it. No one is trying to show off here. We just handle our media business and try to keep things running smoothly day after day, year after year, without much fuss.
