Acme Art Studio

Our studio is tucked away in Adwait Society over in Ranip. It is a residential area, so it stays fairly calm compared to the main roads of Ahmedabad. We are at 39/B on Radhaswami Road. Acme Art Studio is basically just a group of us who enjoy making things. The space is filled with supplies and half-finished pieces that we’ve been chipping away at. It’s not a shiny gallery or anything like that, more like a workshop that has seen a lot of use over the years. We started out small and just kept going because the work was there. There is a lot of dust sometimes, and the lighting could be better in the corners, but it works for us. Living and working in Gujarat has its own rhythm. We usually start the day early before it gets too hot outside. People in the society know us as the ones who are always carrying frames or boxes in and out of the building. We don't spend much time on social media or marketing. Most of our day is just spent at the table or the easel. If someone wants to see what we are doing, they usually just drop a message and come over to the society. It’s a simple life, and we like that we can walk to get snacks nearby. We keep things pretty informal around here. No one wears a suit and we just focus on finishing the pieces we started.
