The shop is located in Mangal Tirth Tower, right near the Dharnidhar Derasar in Paldi. Most people in this part of Ahmedabad know the landmark so they find us easily enough. We handle both glasses and watches here which keeps us pretty occupied throughout the day. It’s a small space, B/13 to be exact, so things can get a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once. We’ve got these glass cabinets that show off the frames and the watch straps. The lighting inside is a bit bright but you need that when you are looking at tiny watch parts or checking how a pair of glasses fits someone’s face. Paldi is a nice area and the crowd is usually local families who have lived nearby for years. You see the same faces going to the Derasar and sometimes they just pop their head in to say hello. It gets quite hot outside in the afternoons so the shop feels like a little escape for us and the customers. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know we are here. Sometimes the fans make a little noise but we’ve gotten used to it over time. We just keep working away at the bench, fixing what needs fixing and helping people see a bit better.
