R S Textiles is located right in the heart of the action at 370, M.J. Mkt. in the Marine Lines area. Being near Zhaveri Bazar means it is always incredibly busy. There are always people rushing around with bundles of fabric and carts. We’ve been at this spot for years and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit. Our space is filled with rolls of cloth and different textiles. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get new stock in. We don’t really have a big fancy showroom. Most of our business is done face-to-face with people who have been coming to us for a long time. The air is always full of the smell of new fabric and the sound of people bargaining outside. We start our day early to beat some of the crowd, but it never really stays quiet for long. Our team knows the stock inside out. We don’t use any complicated systems, just some old ledgers and our own memory for most things. It’s a traditional way of doing business, but it works for us at R S Textiles.
