If you go past the Bhind Gurudwara in Ajit Nagar, you’ll find us easily. Being near the Gurudwara makes it easy for people to find the way. This part of Agra has its own rhythm. Tiwari Classes is a modest place. We don’t have a big lobby or fancy air conditioning. There are just classrooms and a small area where I sit with my registers. The rooms are a bit cramped when it’s full, but we make it work. Most of the kids who come here live nearby in Ajit Nagar. It’s a local spot. You won’t see any big billboards for us on the main road. We just have the name on the door. The furniture is a bit old, but it does the job. I usually spend my mornings getting the notes ready and making sure the water cooler is filled up. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we have a few big fans going. It’s not silent here; you can hear the sounds of the street and the distant prayers sometimes. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just show up or call. It’s a simple way to run things. We’ve been in this spot for some time now. Some of the floor tiles are cracked, but we don’t mind. It’s a place for study, not for looking at. We just do what needs doing every day. We usually close up late in the evening once the last student heads home towards the main road.
