The Real Pan Shop

If you are around Maruti Estate in Agra, you can find us at 3/4 on Maruti Estate Road in the Neelam Market. We are a small pan shop, but we stay pretty busy throughout the day and well into the night. People come here for their daily pan, cigarettes, or just to pick up some small sweets and mouth fresheners. The market area is always humming with activity, especially with all the shops and people moving around Shah Ganj. Our spot is quite simple—just a counter and some shelves packed with various items. We spend a lot of our time preparing the pan exactly how each regular customer likes it, which is an art in itself if you ask me. It is a social kind of place where people often stop to talk for a few minutes before moving on with their day. The Agra summers are tough, but we have our regulars who come by for a cold drink or just a bit of shade under the awning. We don't have any fancy marketing or big slogans, just the name "The Real Pan Shop" and our service. It’s a lot of standing and quick work with our hands, but we are used to the rhythm of the market. We take pride in just being a consistent part of the street life here. It’s a basic business, but it keeps us connected to the people in the neighborhood.
