Our place is located in Shankar Nagar on Jalesar Road near Bashinda. Most people know it as being near Tedi Bagiya which is a landmark everyone uses around here. We deal with exports which means a lot of paperwork and even more packing. The back room is usually full of boxes stacked up to the ceiling. We have to be careful how we label everything because it is going a long way. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment is ready to go out. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and bikes passing by all day long. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit of a mess but we still get the work done. We have a small team here and everyone pulls their weight. One person might be on the phone dealing with the docks while another is taping up boxes. It is not a glamorous job by any means. There is a lot of heavy lifting involved and you end up quite tired by the time evening rolls around. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoon slump. People stop by to ask for directions since we are right on the main stretch there. We just point them the right way and get back to our packing. The light in the office is a bit dim and the fan squeaks but it is home to us. There is always a lot to do before the day is over.
