We’ve been up here on the second floor of the Friends Trade Centre for a while now. If you know Nehru Nagar, you know it gets pretty busy around here, especially during the afternoons when everyone is out and about. Getting to the office involves climbing the stairs, which keeps us awake. The rooms are basic but they do the job for what we need. It’s mostly just us sitting around desks, working through stuff and trying to keep things organized. People often stop by because they saw our sign from the street or heard about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We don't have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some chairs, computers, and a lot of paper. Sometimes the noise from the traffic downstairs drifts up, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our staff is small, mostly local people who live nearby and walk to work. We try to keep the place tidy, though the files tend to pile up on the corners of the desks. It’s a quiet enough spot once you’re inside. Most of the day is spent answering phones or helping folks who walk in with questions. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years, but the Friends Trade Centre stays pretty much the same. It's a reliable place for us to be, and being in Nehru Nagar means we’re close to everything we might need during the day.
