Shree Steels

Shree Steels is located right on Agra Road, just opposite Anand City in the Paldi Meena area. It’s a loud place because of all the metal clanging around throughout the day. We have stacks of steel bars and rods sitting out in the yard, and they can get pretty hot under the sun. Working here means getting your hands dirty and dealing with grease and rust on a daily basis. My clothes are usually stained by lunch time, but that is part of the job. Traffic on the main road can be a nightmare sometimes, especially when big trailers are trying to back into our space. We see a lot of builders and contractors coming through, looking for specific sizes for their projects. The office is small and gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside. We have a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. Paldi Meena has changed a lot over the years with new buildings popping up everywhere. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the deliveries go out on time. It is a straightforward business without any bells and whistles. We don't spend money on fancy signs or uniforms. Most of our regulars know where to find us without even looking at a map. It’s a hard life working with steel, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every single week.
