Jyoti Cement Udyog

Our shop is tucked away in the Talkies Compound. It’s Shop No 3/9 on Compound Road. Being near Diwani Bhagwan Talkies means there’s always some noise and people moving around. We deal with cement all day. If you come by Jyoti Cement Udyog, you’ll probably see us covered in that gray dust. It gets everywhere, in your hair and on your clothes. The bags are heavy, and we spend a lot of time loading them onto carts or trucks. It's not a clean job, but someone has to do it. The compound road can get pretty cramped when several vehicles are trying to get through at once. We’ve been here long enough that the local drivers know how to navigate the tight spots. Sometimes the smell of popcorn from the cinema drifts over, but mostly it’s just the smell of dry concrete and old buildings. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We just have our space in the compound. The light isn't great inside, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, the mornings are the busiest when the builders are starting their day. By the afternoon, things slow down a bit, and we can catch our breath. We just focus on getting the bags out to whoever needs them. It's a simple life here in the compound. We don't worry about being the biggest, we just stay busy. We close up when the last customer leaves, usually just as the evening show starts.
