If you take the train and get off near Runakta Railway Station in Artoni, you’re basically right there at Balmukund Bazari College Of Education. We are on the outskirts of Agra, away from the main tourist parts of the city. This place is all about training people who want to become teachers themselves. It’s a bit of a funny cycle, teaching people how to teach, but it’s what we know. The building is functional and a bit plain. We have a few rooms for lectures and a library that stays pretty busy during exam season when everyone is cramming. Being near the tracks means you hear the trains go by quite often, but you get used to the vibration after a week or two. The students here are mostly young adults from the 282007 area who are looking for a stable career in schools. It’s a serious environment because they know they have a lot of responsibility coming up in their lives. We don't have a big cafeteria or anything, just a few spots where people sit and eat their tiffins during the afternoon break. The staff here is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from sorting out the admin work to helping students find books. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s important work for the region. We see a lot of people come in unsure and leave ready to run their own classrooms. It's just a regular college.
