Lol Ladies Fashions

Lol Ladies Fashions is over in the Melarmath area of Agartala. This part of the city has its own slow pace that we really like. Our shop is just a regular place where local women come to find something to wear. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just us in this building, surrounded by other local shops. The mornings are usually the quietest time, so we use that to organize the racks and do some cleaning. Agartala is not as crazy as the big metros, but Melarmath still gets its fair share of people during the festive seasons. We keep the shop looking simple. There are no bright flashing signs, just the name on the front. We spend our days talking to the people who walk in, many of whom we’ve known for years. It’s more about the conversation than anything else sometimes. We have to keep an eye on the weather because when it rains in Tripura, it really pours. We might have to move some of the racks back from the door then. The floor is just tiles and the shelves are plain wood. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just selling clothes and keeping the lights on. It’s a decent life here in Agartala. It gets dark quite early in the winter months, so we make sure the indoor lights are bright enough for people to see the colors clearly. We usually finish the day by checking the door lock twice.
