Panchali

Our business, Panchali, is located inside the Rajdhani Hotel on B K Road in Agartala. We are right near the Indian Air City Office in the Tripura West area. Being on B K Road means we are in a central part of the city. The B K Road traffic is never quiet, there is always the sound of rickshaws and cars outside. The hotel has been here for a while, and we operate as part of that establishment. Inside, it’s a bit more settled. The ceiling fans are old but they work fine. We serve the people staying at the Rajdhani but also have a lot of locals who come in specifically for our kitchen. The space is traditional and doesn't have any of those modern, minimalist designs you see in the big cities. We like it that way. It feels more like home. The staff has a routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We wake up, get the supplies from the local market, and start the day. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when there’s a big group, but we always manage to get everyone fed. We don't use any fancy words to describe ourselves. We are just a local establishment in Agartala that has been around long enough to know what people like. If you are near the air office, you can't really miss the hotel. We’re just inside, doing our thing every day and hoping for a good evening crowd.
